1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser in order to remember information about your visit. There are equivalent technologies — local storage, tracking pixels, device fingerprinting — subject to the same legal regime: article 22.2 of Ley 34/2002, de servicios de la sociedad de la información (the Spanish act on information society services).

2. Nothing is installed without your permission

The first time you arrive you will see a notice with three options: accept all, reject all or manage each category separately. Rejecting takes exactly one click, just like accepting.

Until you choose, no cookie is installed other than those that are strictly necessary. The measurement tool is loaded with storage denied: it may record a visit in aggregate, but it neither writes nor reads any cookie or identifier, so it is not possible to recognise you or to follow you between pages or visits.

When you accept measurement, and only then, the analytics cookies are installed. If you later withdraw your consent, they are deleted automatically.

You can change your mind whenever you want from the “Cookies” link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

3. Which cookies there may be, and what for

Strictly necessary

These are always installed, because without them the site cannot remember your decision. They do not require consent under article 22.2 of Ley 34/2002.

Google acts as a processor and may handle the data outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the Regulation. The detail is in the privacy policy.

4. What the site keeps in your browser, besides cookies

Without being cookies, the site keeps two things in your browser’s local storage. Neither of them leaves your device by itself, neither contains an identifier that would allow you to be recognised between visits, and neither is shared with third parties.

What is storedWhat forWhere, and how long
Your answers to the guided assessment and the step you have reached So that you do not lose your progress if you close the page and come back later. It is necessary for the service you asked for when you started the questionnaire. Local storage. Deleted after 7 days, when you press “Start again”, or when you complete the submission.
The page you entered the site through and, if you came from a campaign, its campaign parameters So that, if you do write to us, we know how you found us. It is information about the visit, not about you. Session storage. Deleted when you close the tab.

What the guided assessment involves is explained in more detail in the privacy policy.

5. The rest of the site loads nothing external

Apart from the services above, all the site’s resources — stylesheets, typefaces, images and scripts — are served from our own domain. In particular, the Manrope typeface is hosted on our server and is not loaded from external services, so your browser makes no request to Google when you visit the site.

The only route out to a third party is voluntary: if you click the WhatsApp link, your browser will open that service, which is governed by its own terms.

6. Server logs

Our hosting provider generates technical logs of the requests it receives, including the IP address, the date and the page requested. They are necessary for the security and operation of the service, they are not used to identify visitors, and they are kept for a maximum of 30 days.

7. How to delete what has been stored

You can delete whatever the site has kept in your browser at any time, without affecting anything else:

  • Within the guided assessment, by pressing “Start again”.
  • By closing the tab, in the case of the information about your visit.
  • From the “Cookies” link in the footer, by withdrawing consent: the cookies in the categories you turn off are deleted automatically.
  • From your browser settings, by clearing website data for nivelalegal.com. Each browser calls it something different: site data, local storage or browsing data.

Browsing in private or incognito mode prevents anything from being kept once you close the window.

8. If this changes

If this site adds cookies or third-party services in the future, we will update this page, set out in detail what is installed and what for, and ask for your prior consent where the rules require it.

If you have any question about this policy you can write to us at contacto@nivelalegal.com.
